Pacquiao gets big plane for Dallas trip

Manny Pacquiao is reinventing the phrase “traveling in style.”
When the Filipino fighter leaves Los Angeles for Dallas on March 9, he will hop inside a 179-seat jet, joined by his family and his entourage.
Owing to the horde of people from the States and elsewhere going to see him fight Joshua Clottey of Ghana on March 13, Pacquiao was advised to just get a big plane that can accommodate almost everyone.
Although it appears that almost everyone can be accommodated, those on the list would only either be his closest friends and those who have important tasks to do.
“While the cost is slightly higher than sending them on commercial, this will save us a lot of headache,” said Pacquiao adviser Mike Koncz.
The same plane is going to bring Team Pacquiao back to Los Angeles the day after the fight.
In the past, Pacquiao had a bus at his disposal to ferry his friends from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, but since Dallas is 1,437 miles away and can be reached by driving 21 straight hours, Pacquiao instead instructed one of his men to get a plane.
