Pac-Man is now “Superman” as he heads into the Clottey Challenge

As soon as the Mega Fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather was called off, I always knew that Pacquiao and his team would be the ones to take on a tougher challenge.

I just never thought that the tough challenge would come in the form of Joshua Clottey. Pac-Man facing Clottey came out of left field for me.

I guess once the Pacquiao/Mayweather clash was scratched, many fans wondered how would both Pacquiao and Mayweather repay us for not inking the biggest fight in history. Some asked, who out of the two will step up and give us a tough exciting fight to look forward to?

My way of thinking is that it’s not really a question when you already know the answer. Now more than ever Mayweather must look towards a Mosley, Malignaggi or even Bradley and not a Matty Hatton. Floyd versus Matt Hatton is a boxing clinic . Mayweather versus Mosley would be a clash skilled boxing titans and Mayweather vs Malignaggi is a high speed chess match.

A match with Mosley would silient the Mayweather critics who always say that he avoids the tough challenges and picks on smaller foes. First as we know Mosley needs to get by Berto on January 30th.

As for Malignaggi, he would not only match Floyd in the talk department, by talking up the fight, but Malignaggi can also match Floyd’s speed. I have always felt that speed and a good consistent jab troubles Floyd. Well guess what? Paulie has blazing speed and a jab that shoots out like a lazer that keeps sticking you.

So come on here Floyd, do the right thing. We don’t want to see another Mayweather/Baldomir, a boring ass clinic. I know that you love the UK because they seem to be the only country that loves you, ok I get that, but Matt Hatton? Are you serious? Heck, Kell Brook who is still a little green would give you a better test than Matty Hatton.

Floyd, you have done this to yourself, you built up this flossy undefeated record to claim the Kingdom but all that flossy record has ever done in return is to be used against you. You painted a mesmerizing painting and some of the public bought it, but once you lose your mean streak and get a blemish or get yourself Roy Jonesed, the art gallery will come to a close. So if you lose the fans you do have off of one blemish, were they even your fans in the first place? It won’t be until your true test or first loss that you then will gain real fans. Because by then, all will come to light and they will see what you are really made of. Imagine that, a gain from a loss.

Now back to Pacquiao. I can not even begin to even guess what Arum and the boys were thinking in this one. Why would you risk thier#1 fighter against a tough iron chined warrior like Clottey? I mean why risk your Golden ticket against a fighter that is not much of a draw, and not a highly marketable fighter?

I am not saying that Clottey will destroy the Pac-Man, but I’m also not gonna say that the Pac-Man will destroy Clottey as he did Cotto, De La Hoya, and Diaz. Maybe Arum and the boys just wanted to keep all the money in-house with 2 Top Rank fighters, or maybe they simply feel that the Pacquiao is now Superman, no man can defeat Superman.

What’s also bugging me is that Arum wants to try to place this fight in the new massive Dallas Cowboys Stadium. In no way shape or form does Pacquiao/Clottey belong in Texas. Pacquiao/Clottey would be much better at the Garden, Madison Square Garden. Clottey has a following there and you can build it up as you bringing this Godzilla like Monster to the Big Apple to take a bite out of the Big Apple. Whatever happens, let’s just get the show on the road.
